If you are reading this, it is no doubt because you or someone close to you is on the verge of taking action. Taking bold leaps forward used to be so innately part of our lives, we didn’t give it much thought – you did it, or you didn’t survive long enough to pass on your genes!  However, over time and through advances in technology, education and healthcare, a great proportion of society no longer has to act boldly, satisfy curiosity, confront uncertainty or overcome real fears – we seem content to pass much of our lives fretting about things that do not really have an effect on our survival, but rather on our stylised interpretation of happiness. That situation is not inherently bad, it’s just how it is.

But, what if that isn’t enough?  What if the dormant instinct to act boldly is still pulsing beneath the surface?  If that is the case, there is only one person who can change it – you.

The aim of our programmes is simple: build adventurers; expose them to other adventurers; immerse them in the hard, physical, magnificent world around us; ignite a boundless curiosity and give them the opportunity to act for the betterment of something greater than themselves.

And so here you are, contemplating travelling to the bottom of the world to be thrust into New Zealand’s wild lands, away from home comforts, where you’ll be challenged to develop the skills and mindset of an adventurer – someone who asks more questions, accepts fewer excuses and immerses themselves in what really matters! Why? Here are just a few reasons:

1. Gain clarity over your future
Your twelve weeks with Adventure for Good will be the first of many bold leaps forward. You’ll leave our centre with a strong sense of purpose and clarity over your life goals and priorities. More than ever you’ll understand who you are, what you believe in, and what you’re capable of achieving.

2. Challenge yourself
Our programme is not for the faint hearted; this is not a holiday; it is not merely an exciting experience; you will not be handed information, rather you will develop skills to further your own quest for answers.

By the end of this programme you will have navigated a 50-foot sailing ship through a maze of 140 islands; you’ll have explored acres of dense native forest; dived on shipwrecks and along rugged coastlines; scrambled through narrow rock passages and paddled through ancient sea caves. You’ll have set a course for your life to be measured in actions, not intentions. You will be an adventurer, for good.

3. Make a difference
We offer an experience and education that transcends traditional measures of performance; a programme that empowers people to become more ambitious and engaged individuals who initiate positive action at every opportunity. We’ll help you to build connections, grow confidence and inspire leadership for the betterment of our communities, unique cultures and fragile environments.

We’ve also prepared some information for the people who care about you on our FAQ page. We encourage you to go through this with them and invite you to contact us with any further questions you may have.
